Casa II, Inc. & Casa Brendan, Inc. provide housing facilities for low-income elderly and disabled/handicapped persons. These complexes are located in a rural setting in picturesque Stephenville, the county seat for Erath County. Catholic Charities housing offers safe and affordable subsidized communities.

Service Criteria:

  • Must be 62 years of age or older.
  • Must make less than 50% Median Income: $18,300 for an individual and $20,900 for a family.
  • Each resident must be able to live independently.

*Please note that we are not currently accepting applications for disabled individuals under age 62 due to a change in guidance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Continue to check our website for changes in application requirements in the future.

Cost:

Monthly rent is based on 30% of the resident’s annual adjusted* gross income of the household as described by Department of HUD guidelines.

*Adjusted income includes medical expenses and assets.

One bedroom and efficiency units are available, with tile throughout, utility allowances available, water and trash pickup included, discounted cable available, emergency pull cord system in all apartments, range and refrigerator provided, individual central heating and air conditioning, 24 hour emergency maintenance and after-hours courtesy patrol.

Facility includes community center, library, disabled/handicap parking, residential parking, landscaped grounds, personal garden spaces, wheelchair accessible units, 2 laundry facilities, personal locked mailboxes and are pet friendly (1 per unit less than 25 pounds). Catholic Charities does business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Laws.
